The Boys’ Football Team started their spring term campaign with a match at home against Parkdale. Like the girls’ matches, it was played in less-than-ideal conditions (soggy). Mr H reports that it was an exciting match; at 5 minutes to the whistle, we were 3 goals down – then we came through to score 3 goals in the last 5 minutes, to draw 3-all! Stars of the game were Zachary and Leo – and Leo was ‘man of the match’.
It was great to see every child supported by an adult; and the Parkdale team went away buzzing with enthusiasm and very complimentary about the match organisation.
Latest games
The boys played against St Peters on 22nd March, & Sacred Heart on 25th March – both at home. Unfortunately both opposing teams proved to be stiff competition, & our boys lost.
There were however some starring moments – Yusif scored his first goal & was brilliant in goal for the first time, and Carter & Zach played very well both times.
